McAfee Mobile Research identified 38 Android games on Google Play (installed by at least 35 million users) that contain HiddenAds adware which silently generates large volumes of advertising network traffic (initial requests frequently use paths like /3.txt). The apps were reported to Google and removed; the report provides extensive IoCs (package names and SHA256 hashes), distribution and telemetry details, and user guidance to review app reviews and use mobile security solutions.
