HostRecon: A Situational Awareness Tool

HostRecon is a PowerShell-based reconnaissance tool for penetration testers that gathers host, user, network, and domain details without invoking common system utilities (e.g., net, ipconfig, netstat) to reduce detections; it identifies AV/firewall/application whitelisting and other security products, enumerates admins, tasks, shares, DNS cache, domain policy and controllers, and can test egress filtering via a port scan against allports.exposed; compatible with PowerShell 2.0, it offers simple import-and-run usage (Invoke-HostRecon with optional -Portscan and -TopPorts) for rapid situational awareness.
