Gathering Proximity Card Credentials: The Wiegotcha

This report documents how to build and deploy a Wiegotcha device — a Raspberry Pi–based RFID credential exfiltration tool that pairs with long-range HID readers (e.g., HID MaxiProx 5375) to capture proximity card data, store it, and serve results via a wireless web interface for later cloning. It includes software install steps (Raspbian, repos, install scripts), hardware wiring instructions, supported reader/card types, and highlights the underlying security weakness (no encryption or mutual authentication) that enables credential harvesting and physical access bypass.
