Release of a Technical Report into Intel Trust Domain Extensions

Google Project Zero and Google Cloud published a security review of Intel Trust Domain Extensions (TDX), a hardware feature for Confidential Computing that isolates guest VM resources. The review, conducted on pre-release TDX 1.0 source code (the basis for TDX in limited 4th Gen Intel Xeon SKUs), identified 10 confirmed security vulnerabilities that were fixed before final product release and highlighted five additional defense-in-depth improvement areas.
