29 Arrests, Nine Crime Groups Dismantled: Another Blow to Illegal Streaming

An international law enforcement operation (Operation KRATOS), coordinated by Bulgaria with Europol and private-sector partners, ran from September 2025 to April 2026 and dismantled the infrastructure behind illegal streaming: 29 arrests, nine organised crime groups taken down, 27,332 illegal streaming links removed, 18,331 IPs and 4,370 new domains identified, and hundreds of thousands of infringing objects/URLs flagged; investigators targeted the wider criminal ecosystem and warned that users face cybersecurity risks such as malware and data theft.
