Hackers targeted Poland’s National Centre for Nuclear Research

An attempted cyberattack on Poland’s National Centre for Nuclear Research was detected and successfully blocked before any damage or operational disruption occurred; the MARIA research reactor continues to operate safely. Polish authorities, coordinating with national cyber agencies, are investigating the intrusion and have noted preliminary indications that the attack may have originated from Iran while warning those signs could be misleading.
