Discord has made end-to-end encryption the default for all voice and video calls (except stage channels) across platforms using its open-source DAVE protocol, completing a migration in March 2026; the implementation is audited, has a bug-bounty program, and will remove unencrypted fallbacks so calls cannot revert to unencrypted connections.
