Hunt.io uncovered an active, China-linked espionage campaign using Anthropic’s Claude Code and a domestic LLM (DeepSeek-v4-pro) to plan and execute automated intrusions against government and financial targets across multiple countries; analysts recovered 2,431 files including source code, custom exploits, operator logs, multi-platform malware capable of credential theft, and harvested sensitive personal and organizational data, indicating a sophisticated, nation-state-level operation.
