Heights Finance disclosed that on May 7, 2026 a third-party cloud platform it used was accessed by an unauthorized actor, exposing personal and financial information for over 1.2 million individuals; the company engaged external cybersecurity experts, notified law enforcement, secured the platform, and is offering 24 months of credit monitoring while reporting no evidence the data has been published or tied to ransomware or extortion.
