Personal data of 1 million gym members compromised in Basic-Fit security incident

Basic‑Fit disclosed a security incident in which unauthorized access resulted in the download of personal data for roughly 1 million members (about 200,000 in the Netherlands). Compromised fields include membership data, names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, dates of birth and bank account details; no ID documents or passwords were reportedly accessed. The intrusion was detected and stopped within minutes, there is no evidence of misuse to date, and the company is investigating with external specialists while notifying affected members.
