Oxygen Forensics, A Russian-run forensics firm spent a decade inside European police departments

The DOJ indictment alleges Virginia-based Oxygen Forensics hid Russian ownership while selling forensic-extraction software to U.S. and multiple European police agencies and being consulted on EU-funded digital-evidence projects; the same owners also controlled a Russian company selling the same technology to the FSB, prompting concerns that evidence and investigative data handled by Oxygen tools could have been compromised and leading some agencies to suspend use and call for investigations.
