ADT Confirms Major Data Breach Exposing Millions of Names, Partial SSNs

ADT acknowledged a breach in which attackers used vishing to compromise an employee Okta SSO, accessed Salesforce data, and leaked roughly 11GB (estimated 5.5 million records) containing names, phone numbers, addresses and partial tax/SSN data; ADT reports no payment information or home security systems were compromised, but exposed PII heightens phishing and identity-fraud risk.
