Chinese Spies Using LinkedIn, Job Sites to Recruit Western Workers

Intelligence agencies across the Five Eyes issued a coordinated warning about an aggressive online recruitment campaign linked to Chinese intelligence services that uses fake job ads and recruiter personas on platforms such as LinkedIn to target security-cleared personnel, government employees, military staff, academics, journalists, and think-tank researchers, solicit reports and sensitive information (sometimes for payment), and often transition communications to encrypted messaging.
