Apple Adds New iPhone Privacy Setting to Blur Location Data Shared With Carriers

Apple is rolling out a 'Limit Precise Location' setting for select iPhone and iPad models that blurs the location data sent to cellular carriers so they receive only a general neighborhood instead of a precise address; the feature aims to give users more control over carrier-visible location data. The setting does not affect emergency responder location sharing or app-level Location Services, requires compatible hardware and carrier support (initially a short list), and can be enabled via Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options.
