Singapore Is Literally Training People to Get Scammed

Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency is running a six-month National Simulated Scams Exercise that sends volunteers realistic robocalls (including AI-enabled impersonation) to teach people how to recognise and respond to government impersonation scams; the report highlights rising scam volumes and significant financial losses and recommends organisations extend phishing simulations to cover voice, video, and messaging impersonation scenarios.
