Microsoft’s March 10, 2026 Windows 11 update (KB5079473) caused widespread sign-in errors for personal Microsoft accounts—affecting Teams Free, OneDrive, Copilot and other apps—displaying incorrect “not connected to the Internet” messages; Microsoft issued an optional out-of-band fix (KB5085516) on March 21 and recommends manual installation or a reboot workaround. Separately, a buggy Samsung Galaxy Connect app caused some devices to lose access to the C: drive, and Microsoft and Samsung provided recovery steps and removed the faulty app version.
