The Quiet Siege I

A fictional after-action narrative of an application-layer (Layer 7) DDoS campaign against a nonprofit (“The Assembly of Dawn”) that mimicked legitimate users to overwhelm donation portals, account services, and communications, forcing operators to implement brownouts, prioritize shelter and clinic access, and make difficult trade-offs between revenue and critical services while attackers adapted to defensive changes.
