Threat actors are hijacking Internet-exposed, misconfigured JupyterLab and Jupyter Notebook servers to deploy ffmpeg and illegally capture and redirect live sports streams. By exploiting unauthenticated or weakly protected servers to execute remote code, attackers abuse compute and bandwidth resources to stream high-profile events (e.g., UEFA Champions League) to unauthorized platforms for profit, with activity reportedly linked to Algerian IPs.
