Operation LongFang is a Chinese-attributed cyber-espionage campaign against Latin American government organizations first detected in December 2024 and active for at least two years; attackers exploited web application vulnerabilities to gain initial access, deployed Cobalt Strike for C2, used process injection and webshells, performed credential harvesting and lateral movement, and exfiltrated sensitive government data.
