Vimeo Confirms Data Breach After Hackers Access User Database

Vimeo confirmed a data breach resulting from an Anodot supply-chain compromise that allowed an unauthorized actor—linked to the ShinyHunters group—to access technical data, video titles and metadata, and certain customer email addresses; Vimeo states no user credentials, payment information, or video content were accessed, has removed Anodot integrations, disabled related credentials, engaged third-party forensics, and notified law enforcement, and warns users to be vigilant for phishing.
