Cybercrime Group in Vietnam Enables Massive Fraudulent Signups

A Vietnam-based cybercrime ecosystem is enabling mass fraudulent account sign-ups, selling hijacked or auto-created accounts, session tokens, and automation tools, and executing SMS pumping/IRSF using disposable email services and botnets; Okta tracked cluster O-UNC-036 linked to these activities. The operation fuels large-scale financial fraud, phishing, and account takeover, and defenders are advised to combine IP reputation, behavioral analysis, disposable-domain blocklists, and automated workflows to detect and deactivate fake accounts.
