Authorities Dismantle IoT Botnet Linked to Record-Shattering 30 Tbps DDoS Campaigns

International law enforcement, supported by major technology companies and threat intelligence groups, dismantled the command-and-control infrastructure for four large IoT botnets (Aisuru, KimWolf, JackSkid, Mossad) that had enslaved over three million devices worldwide and launched record DDoS attacks up to 30 Tbps. The botnets operated as a cybercrime-as-a-service, targeting internet-exposed IoT devices (DVRs, webcams, routers), with some operators using advanced techniques to compromise devices behind traditional firewalls; coordinated seizures of domains and servers and arrests in multiple countries neutralized the specific threat.
