OpenAI to Acquire Promptfoo to Address Vulnerabilities in AI Systems

OpenAI announced it is acquiring Promptfoo to integrate its AI security evaluation and red‑teaming tools into the OpenAI Frontier enterprise platform. The move aims to provide automated safety testing, threat mitigation for issues like prompt injections and model jailbreaks, secure development workflows, traceability and governance, and continued support for Promptfoo's open‑source CLI and library to help organizations safely build and operate AI systems.
