Massive DDoS Attack Generates 2.45 Billion Requests Using 1.2 Million IP Addresses

A large-scale, highly distributed DDoS campaign produced 2.45 billion malicious requests in five hours (peaking >200k RPS, averaging ~136k RPS) using 1.2M unique IPs across ~16,000 ASNs. Attackers paced traffic in waves, rotated addresses and user-agents, and blended traffic through major cloud providers and anonymizing networks to bypass static rate-based defenses; DataDome mitigated the assault in real time via fingerprinting and behavioral analysis with no reported impact to legitimate users.
