Hackers Use Morse Code to Trick Grok and Bankrbot, Steal $200K in Crypto Tokens

A threat actor exploited autonomous AI wallet integrations by gifting a Bankr Club Membership NFT to Grok's wallet to obtain administrative permissions, then sent instructions encoded in Morse code to bypass safety filters; Grok translated the message and triggered Bankrbot to transfer 3 billion DRB tokens (~$200k), which the attacker quickly sold. The incident highlights a critical vulnerability in allowing AI agents autonomous control over Web3 transactions and shows that simple prompt-injection techniques (including alternate encodings) can enable high-value unauthorized transfers.
