New UK cybersecurity report: top 5 findings

A survey of 500 UK IT decision-makers finds cybersecurity is a top concern (third overall, highest among IT roles) with key issues including a median security budget of £200,000 and 26.7% of allocated funds unspent, pervasive alert fatigue and false positives, severe workforce shortages (~3.4 million gap cited), high levels of burnout (61% overall, 70% among IT/security), and a largely reactive, compliance- or breach-driven investment posture; the report recommends shifting leadership mindset to view security as a business-enabling investment and adopting more strategic, user-aware approaches.
