Targeted Across Borders: Digital Transnational Repression, Gender Dimensions, and the Role of Host States

A new article in the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs by the Citizen Lab’s Noura Aljizawi, Siena Anstis, and Gözde Böcü investigates transnational repression across physical and digital forms, highlights its impacts on dissidents abroad—particularly women and queer individuals—and argues that host states bear responsibility to protect against such repression.
