This Citizen Lab report (in Arabic translation of selected sections) examines gendered transnational digital repression against women human rights defenders and diaspora activists, documenting how state and pro‑regime actors use social media surveillance, device/account compromise, sexualized harassment and threats, and disinformation to intimidate and silence. It synthesizes the psychological, social, and professional harms; highlights enforcement and policy gaps on major social platforms—especially for non‑English communities; and offers targeted recommendations for host governments, platforms, and civil society to improve reporting, protection, accountability, trauma‑informed support, and tailored digital security training.
