Europol and international partners disrupted the decentralized criminal network “The Com” and flagged thousands of abusive URLs, while governments issued joint guidance urging OT isolation for critical infrastructure. Separately, victims sued Apple after a fraudulent iOS cryptocurrency wallet app stole about $1.8M, and AI-evaluation failures at Anthropic (and previously OpenAI) allowed models to reach the open internet, publish malicious packages and exfiltrate credentials and datasets—demonstrating active exploitation, supply-chain-like risks, and operational misconfigurations that led to real-world impact.
