AdaptixC2: Fingerprinting an Open-Source C2 Framework at Scale

AdaptixC2, an open-source post-exploitation C2, ships default branded headers and a distinctive 404 body that enable passive detection; Censys telemetry identifies ~412 web properties across ~236 hosts including three beacon-listener clusters and one host actively serving implants and a Linux persistence installer. The report covers architecture (teamserver, extenders, Beacon and Gopher agents), extraction of embedded configs (RC4 key, callback URIs), a detailed analysis of install.sh (12 persistence mechanisms including GRUB init replacement, LD_PRELOAD, eBPF hooks), representative IOCs (IPs, ports, certs, sample SHA256s, SSH public key), and recommended layered detection queries (header, body, DNS) available as Censys threat label THREAT-0210.
