Why pushing commands isn’t enough for modern Mac management

This document advocates Apple’s Declarative Device Management (DDM) as a state-based alternative to traditional command-based MDM, explaining how DDM enables on-device enforcement of declared configurations, improves remote onboarding, maintains policy consistency across locations, restores compliance when devices go offline, and scales with growing Mac fleets to improve IT efficiency and employee Digital Employee Experience (DEX).
