Wanted: Clean Bills on Data Breach and Cyber Intel Sharing | Digital Guardian

This article reviews two pieces of U.S. cybersecurity legislation—the Protecting Cyber Networks Act and the Cyber Information Sharing Act (CISA) of 2015—arguing that while they aim to encourage information sharing between private companies and the federal government, they risk expanding government surveillance and lack sufficient privacy and civil liberties protections without clearly improving overall cybersecurity.
