CrowdStrike reported 13 recorded attacks tied to Chinese-affiliated hacking groups around President Xi’s U.S. visit, targeting technology, energy, and pharmaceutical companies; intrusions used SQL injection, China Chopper webshells and malware families such as Derusbi and PlugX, and have been attributed to groups including Deep Panda, highlighting continued nation-state style espionage despite a bilateral cyber agreement.
