Surveillance Technology Vendor Cellebrite Has Customer Data Stolen

Cellebrite, an Israeli provider of mobile forensics tools, suffered unauthorized access to an external web server resulting in the theft and public leak of a roughly 900 GB database containing customer contact information, license records, hashed passwords for users pending migration, and support tickets. The leak exposes government and law-enforcement customers (including indications of Russia, Turkey, UAE and US agencies) and provides operational insight into how Cellebrite products are used; the company is investigating and advising password changes.
