US CERT Warns About Point-of-Sale Malware

US-CERT issued advisory TA14-002A warning that Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals are vulnerable to malware infection after researchers detected an active POS compromise campaign using malware such as Dexter and Project Hook; the advisory follows the large Target breach that exposed ~40 million customers' payment data and recommends strong passwords, up-to-date software, firewalls, anti-malware, and blocking removable media.
