Targeting Internet of Things: Metasploit Tool Adds Wireless Device Detection

Metasploit has added an RFTransceiver extension enabling the framework to interface with software-defined radios and RF hardware (e.g., TI cc11xx, Yard Stick One) to detect and test devices communicating over RF, Bluetooth and other non‑802.11 protocols. The feature aims to help security teams discover and assess wireless IoT devices (garage door openers, key fobs, RFID readers, Zigbee, etc.) and includes initial modules for AM brute forcing and generic transmission, with compatibility for the RfCat API.
