Security Experts call for Action on Connected Auto Safety

I Am The Cavalry, a coalition of security researchers, presented a five-point framework at DEF CON 22 urging automakers to treat vehicle cybersecurity as a safety-critical issue; the proposals include safety-by-design, clear vulnerability disclosure policies, evidence capture/logging, mechanisms for security updates, and segmentation/isolation of critical systems, and the group launched a public petition to support the initiative.
