Hackers Remotely Steer Tesla Model S Using Autopilot System

Researchers at Tencent Keen Security Lab demonstrated multiple attacks on Tesla Model S Autopilot (v18.6.1), using adversarial camera inputs to trigger windshield wipers and confuse lane-recognition and exploiting ECU flaws to obtain ROOT privilege and send steering commands; the findings were reported to Tesla, which reportedly issued fixes, and the report contains no evidence of active real-world exploitation.
