Equifax says breach cost it $87m

Equifax disclosed that its network breach exposed data on roughly 140 million people and has resulted in $87.5 million in recorded costs (product, professional fees, consumer support) with an estimated $56–110 million in contingent liabilities for offering credit monitoring; the company cautions that further costs may arise from investigations, litigation, and other impacts to operations.
