Cyber Crime Laws Showing Their Age

The author argues that current computer-crime statutes (e.g., the CFAA) are outdated for the Internet of Things era and that stronger collaboration between the security community, policymakers, and law enforcement is needed to address jurisdictional, legal, and cyber-kinetic challenges; a recent case of traders allegedly working with overseas hackers is offered as an illustrative example.
