Third Party Leak Exposes Info on 123 Million US Households

A misconfigured Amazon S3 bucket associated with Alteryx exposed a 36 GB Experian ConsumerView database containing detailed profiles for roughly 123 million U.S. households—addresses, occupants, household income, mortgage and financial data, credit-use and creditworthiness, and lifestyle information. The dataset was discovered by UpGuard researcher Chris Vickery, who notified Alteryx and helped secure the bucket; while no active exploitation is reported, the exposure poses a high risk of identity theft, targeted scams, and financial fraud and highlights third-party cloud misconfiguration risks.
