eBay Hacked, Urges Millions To Change Password

eBay disclosed that a compromise of employee credentials in late February/early March allowed unauthorized access to a customer database holding personal data for about 145 million users (names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth). The company stated that financial/credit card information, stored separately and encrypted, was not accessed, and that it is investigating with law enforcement and notifying users to change passwords.
