SquareX to Uncover Data Splicing Attacks at BSides San Francisco, A Major DLP Flaw that Compromises Data Security of Millions

SquareX researchers Jeswin Mathai and Audrey Adeline will present "Data Splicing Attacks: Breaking Enterprise DLP from the Inside Out" at BSides San Francisco 2025, demonstrating browser-based data exfiltration techniques that bypass major enterprise DLP products by abusing modern browser features; the team will release an open-source toolkit named "Angry Magpie" to allow red teams and defenders to test for these weaknesses and will also present the research at RSAC 2025.
