IBM: Dyre Banking Malware Behind Sophisticated Crime Spree

IBM's "The Dyre Wolf" report describes a sophisticated Dyre (Dyreza) banking trojan campaign operated by a closed Eastern European cyber crime ring that uses malicious attachments, web-page and server-side injections, and real-time social engineering to defeat two-factor authentication and steal funds via fraudulent wire transfers; attackers also deploy DDoS to distract victims' organizations, with thousands of infections recorded and individual thefts reported up to $1 million.
