Google Chrome Browser (128.0.6613.84) Security Update Advisory

Google released an August 21, 2024 Chrome update (Chrome 128.0.6613.84/.85 and later) fixing multiple security vulnerabilities across desktop platforms. The bulletin lists numerous CVEs—including high-severity use-after-free, heap buffer overflow, out-of-bounds, and type confusion issues affecting Autofill, Passwords, Fonts, Skia, V8, Pdfium and other components—and recommends users update to the patched versions; CVE-2024-7971 is noted as likely exploitable.
