Google Chrome Set To Follow Firefox In Blocking Out-of-date Plug-ins

DumpBrowserSecrets is a publicly available post‑exploitation tool that harvests browser‑stored secrets (passwords, cookies, OAuth tokens, credit cards, autofill data, history) from Chromium‑based browsers and Firefox. It implements an App‑Bound Encryption bypass for Chrome/Edge/Brave by injecting a DLL into a headless Chromium process to call the IElevator COM interface, supports DPAPI/NSS decryption for other browsers, includes multiple evasion techniques, and is presented with usage, attack scenarios, detection guidance, and mitigation recommendations.
