DumpBrowserSecrets is a publicly released post-exploitation tool that harvests browser-stored credentials and session tokens across major Chromium- and Gecko-based browsers. It implements an App-Bound Encryption bypass for Chrome/Edge/Brave by spawning a headless Chromium process and injecting a DLL to use the IElevator COM interface to decrypt keys, handles DPAPI and NSS models for other browsers, and includes evasion features (string obfuscation, API hashing, PPID/argument spoofing, handle duplication). The tool outputs structured JSON of extracted secrets (cookies, OAuth refresh tokens, saved logins, autofill, cards, history), enabling rapid lateral movement or cloud account takeover and is intended for red-team/assumed-breach testing but poses significant abuse risk if used by malicious actors.
