DumpBrowserSecrets is a post-exploitation credential-extraction tool that targets Chrome, Edge, Brave (App-Bound Encryption), Opera/Opera GX/Vivaldi (DPAPI), and Firefox (NSS) to harvest cookies, saved logins, OAuth refresh tokens, credit card data, autofill entries, and history. It bypasses Chrome's App-Bound Encryption by spawning a headless Chromium process, injecting a DLL via Early Bird APC to access the IElevator COM interface and decrypt the app_bound_encrypted_key, and uses handle duplication and a custom SQLite parser to extract data stealthily; the report outlines attack scenarios, evasion features, detection opportunities, and mitigation advice.
