DumpBrowserSecrets is a publicly documented post‑exploitation tool that harvests browser‑stored credentials and session tokens from major Windows browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera variants, Vivaldi, Firefox). It bypasses Chrome's App‑Bound Encryption by spawning a headless Chromium process and injecting a DLL that uses the IElevator COM interface to decrypt encryption keys, supports DPAPI and NSS decryption where applicable, and includes multiple evasion features (string obfuscation, API hashing, PPID/argument spoofing, handle duplication). The tool outputs structured JSON containing cookies, OAuth refresh tokens, saved logins, autofill data and history, enabling rapid lateral movement or cloud account takeover if used on compromised developer endpoints.
