DumpBrowserSecrets is a post-exploitation credential-harvesting tool that extracts saved passwords, session cookies, OAuth refresh tokens, credit card data, autofill entries, browsing history, and bookmarks from major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Opera GX, Vivaldi, and Firefox). It bypasses Chrome's App-Bound Encryption (Chrome 127+) by spawning a headless Chromium process and injecting a DLL via Early Bird APC to call the IElevator COM interface and decrypt encryption keys; DPAPI and NSS decryption are used for other browsers. The report details usage, extracted outputs (JSON), evasion techniques, an attack scenario demonstrating rapid credential extraction for lateral movement and cloud takeover, and detection/mitigation guidance for defenders.
